The Tift County girls’ basketball team, known as the Lady Devils, secured victories in both of their games at the Insider Exposure Thanksgiving Classic held in Jacksonville, Florida, from November 24-26, 2025. With these wins, the Lady Devils improved their season record to 4-1.
Game One: Narrow Win Against Bishop Snyder
In their opening match on November 25, the Lady Devils faced a challenging battle against the Bishop Snyder Cardinals. Despite trailing 18-14 at halftime, Tift County rallied in the second half, scoring 28 points to secure a close 42-37 victory. Key players for the Lady Devils included:
- Amiya Jordan, who led the team with 17 points, notably contributing 10 points in the fourth quarter.
- Jayde Black added 6 points.
- Jaziyah Johnson contributed 5 points.
- Mackenzie Holiday and McKenzie Brewton each chipped in with 4 points.
Game Two: Dominance Over Fletcher
The Lady Devils continued to showcase their strength in the second game, decisively defeating the Fletcher High School team with a score of 48-25. Their defense played a pivotal role, limiting Fletcher to just 10 points at halftime, as Tift County built a commanding lead of 30-10 by the break.
Mackenzie Holiday excelled in this match, achieving a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Other standout performances included:
- Amiya Jordan with 13 points.
- Jayde Black contributing 8 points.
- Mariyah Batts adding 7 points.
With these two victories, the Lady Devils have demonstrated their potential for the season, showcasing both offensive prowess and defensive resilience.
