Batavia Opens New Police Station, Operations Move December 8

BREAKING: The City of Batavia is set to open its brand-new police station on December 8, marking a significant upgrade to law enforcement facilities in the area. All police operations will transition to the new location at 31 Bank Street starting Monday.

The move comes at a crucial time, as the new station aims to enhance public safety and improve community relations. Police officials have confirmed that the building’s lobby will welcome visitors on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing residents with access to essential services.

However, residents should be aware that Alva Place will be closed from Bank Street to the Batavia City Center parking lot during construction. Alternative parking is available in the Batavia City Center lot, ensuring public access to the new station.

In a statement, the Batavia Police Department reassured the community that the department’s non-emergency phone line will remain unchanged at (585) 345-6350, allowing residents to report issues or seek assistance as needed.

“We are excited to serve our community better from this new facility,”

the police department stated, emphasizing their commitment to public safety and community engagement.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house will be scheduled soon, allowing the public to explore the new facility and meet local law enforcement personnel. This event is expected to foster stronger ties between the police and the residents of Batavia.
