UPDATE: A fatal shooting investigation is underway in Knoxville, Tennessee, following a deadly incident on October 20, 2023. Police responded just before 8:30 p.m. to reports of gunfire on E. Magnolia Avenue, where they discovered an 18-year-old male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers from the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) provided immediate medical assistance at the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at UT Medical Center. His identity has not yet been released as authorities work to inform next of kin.
Witnesses reported that the shooting may have stemmed from an altercation inside a nearby building, according to local news outlet WVLT. As of now, no suspects have been identified or charged, and the investigation is ongoing.
