URGENT UPDATE: FanDuel Predicts has officially launched its prediction market app in five states—Alabama, Alaska, South Carolina, North Dakota, and South Dakota—marking a significant step in a phased national rollout. This launch, announced just hours ago, is poised to bring interactive engagement to millions of U.S. customers in the coming months.
The new mobile application, available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, will enable users to place event contracts on various benchmarks, including the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, oil and gas prices, and even sports events. This comes amidst a growing trend in prediction markets, with competitors like DraftKings also entering the space by launching their own markets app across 38 states.
“This launch in five states will provide valuable insights into customer engagement with this new platform,” stated James Cooper, Senior Vice President at FanDuel. He emphasized that this would help refine their approach as they expand to additional states in 2026.
The phased rollout signifies FanDuel’s first major venture into the prediction markets arena, a move that could redefine user interaction with both financial and sports events. As sports betting expands across the U.S., FanDuel Predicts will halt offering sports contracts in states that legalize online sports betting, except on tribal lands.
FanDuel is committed to providing a platform where customers can express their opinions on critical global indicators and sports events. “CME Group prediction markets will enable a new generation of users to express their views on global benchmarks, economic indicators, sports and more,” said Lynne Fitzpatrick, President and CFO of CME Group.
As the app becomes available, it is set to transform engagement with sports and economic predictions, catering to a diverse audience eager for new ways to participate in forecasting outcomes. The next phase of the rollout is expected to extend to more states into early 2026.
Stay tuned for more updates as FanDuel Predicts expands its reach, promising an exciting new frontier for prediction markets in the U.S.
