Frankie Grande Undergoes Successful Cervical Spine Surgery

Frankie Grande recently underwent successful cervical spine surgery to alleviate persistent nerve pain. The 42-year-old reality television star shared details of the procedure via his Instagram account on December 22, 2023. In a hospital selfie, he expressed gratitude for the support he received from friends and fans during this challenging time.

The surgery aimed to relieve pressure on nerves in Grande’s neck, which had been causing him significant pain and neurological symptoms. “Today I had a planned cervical spine surgery to relieve pressure on nerves in my neck that have been causing pain and neurological symptoms for a while,” Grande wrote, highlighting the necessity of the procedure.

Following the surgery, Grande reported that everything went as planned. “The procedure went exactly as expected, no surprises, no drama, just very precise work by an incredible medical team,” he stated. The medical team removed bone and tissue compressing the nerves, providing his spinal cord and surrounding areas with the necessary space to heal and function effectively.

“Now comes 4 weeks of healing, rest, physical therapy, and being nicer to my body than I usually am,” he added. Grande acknowledged feeling sore and tired, yet expressed relief and hope for a swift recovery. “This was a necessary step so I can get back on my feet, back on stage, and back to living fully without pain running the show,” he remarked.

In his heartfelt post, Grande thanked everyone for their “love, prayers, messages, and support,” emphasizing that he felt deeply appreciated during his recovery journey. He described the process as “healing in progress” and looked forward to returning stronger and steadier.

Friends and fellow entertainers showed their support in the comments section of his post. Notable figures like Gloria Estefan, Carson Kressley, and Deborah Cox offered their well-wishes for a speedy recovery. Singer Imogen Heap humorously inquired if Grande needed help with Christmas dinner, to which he replied that his husband, Hale Grande, would manage that.

Grande’s holiday season will be particularly poignant this year as he prepares to celebrate without his beloved grandmother, who passed away earlier in 2023 at the age of 99. In a previous interview with Us Weekly, he shared plans to honor her memory by cooking her famous recipes with his sister, Ariana Grande. “We’re gonna make Nonna’s meatballs and Nonna’s zeppole,” he explained, reminiscing about the family traditions that will continue in her absence.

As he navigates this period of recovery, Frankie Grande remains optimistic about the future. He looks forward to being back on stage and living without the pain that has affected him for so long. His journey serves as a reminder of the importance of health and the support of loved ones during challenging times.
