A conflict has ignited between former Fox News colleagues Megyn Kelly and Mark Levin, following disparaging remarks made about MAGA influencer Jack Posobiec. The tensions began when Levin criticized Posobiec for displaying a rosary at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest on December 15, 2023. Levin, who is Jewish, referred to Posobiec as a “crackpot” in a post on the social media platform X.
In a swift defense of Posobiec, Kelly took to social media to respond. She posted, “Off to go pray the beautiful rosary @JackPosobiec gave me, like virtually all Christians do, which doesn’t make us ‘crackpots’ no matter what some old, angry anti-Christian nut on weekend Fox says.” Kelly’s remarks were directed at Levin, whom she accused of being unable to secure a prime-time slot on Fox.
Levin, 68, who hosts the weekend program Life, Liberty and Levin, countered Kelly’s statement later that evening, promising a more detailed response during his radio show. He remarked, “It’s not possible to keep up with the Woke Reich psychos and groyper-bigots like Megyn Kelly on social media.” He also described Kelly as a “click wh*re” and questioned her conservative credentials.
Levin’s criticisms extended to Posobiec, who he associated with antisemitism after a video surfaced showing fitness podcaster Myron Gaines making antisemitic remarks towards a Jewish woman at the conference. Levin noted, “Here’s the lowlife Jack Posobiec pals around with,” referencing a photo of Gaines and Posobiec together. He added that Posobiec’s association with Gaines is contributing to his negative reputation, stating, “This is why Hack Jack is widely condemned. NOT because of his faith.”
As the feud unfolded, Levin expressed disapproval of Kelly’s support for Posobiec. He claimed that she aligns with individuals he considers “sinister grifters” and criticized her for defending Posobiec and Gaines.
The incident also highlights Kelly’s broader criticism of other right-wing commentators, including Ben Shapiro and Bari Weiss. She has voiced concerns about their roles in fostering antisemitism. Her comments elicited a stern response from the Anti-Defamation League, which cautioned that holding Jewish figures accountable for antisemitism can lead to dangerous narratives reminiscent of victim-blaming.
Kelly, a prominent media figure known for her political analysis and high-profile interviews, previously served as a host on Fox News. Levin, with a reputation for his outspoken conservative views and strong support for Israel, has also made a name for himself in talk radio. The ongoing feud reflects deeper divisions within the right-wing media landscape and raises questions about loyalty and ideology among its key figures.
