Patrón Tequila Launches Official Cocktail for 2026 Grammys

The Grammy Awards will feature its first official cocktail, The Golden Record, crafted by Patrón Tequila. The announcement confirms Patrón as the official tequila partner for the prestigious music event, which will take place in March 2026. This collaboration marks a significant moment in the intersection of music and luxury spirits.

The Golden Record cocktail is a creation of mixologist Daniel Gonzalez from Mexico City’s Licorería Limantour. It combines 1.5 oz of Patrón El Alto tequila, 1 oz of Prosecco, 0.5 oz of Tio Pepe Fino Sherry, and 2 oz of pear cordial. The drink is finished with a dash of Scrappy Bitters’ bergamot bitters and garnished with three slices of red grapes. The cocktail will be served at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, as well as at several key events leading up to the ceremony.

Adam Roth, Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships and Business Development at the Recording Academy, emphasized the partnership’s significance, stating, “The Grammy Awards celebrate artistry at the highest level, and Patrón’s uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship and quality mirrors that pursuit of excellence.” This sentiment reflects a shared dedication to artistic integrity between the two brands.

The partnership comes at a time when Patrón has already established itself as a symbol of luxury within the music industry. The brand has been referenced in numerous songs across genres, notably in hip-hop and Latin music. Artists such as Miranda Lambert, Lil Jon, and Taylor Swift have mentioned Patrón in their lyrics, while Hit-Boy and Offset referred to it in their recent track “2live” following a visit to the distillery in Jalisco, Mexico.

Patrón has also been active in supporting Latin music artists. The brand sponsored Becky G on her first-ever Mi Casa, Tu Casa tour in 2023 and hosted a dinner for Troye Sivan after his Grammy nominations in 2024. This demonstrates Patrón’s commitment to fostering relationships within the music community.

D-J Hageman, Vice President of USA at Patrón Tequila, expressed pride in the collaboration. “The Grammy Awards represent the most exciting night in music, and Patrón is proud to be there celebrating alongside the artists who make it extraordinary,” he stated. Hageman also highlighted that this partnership allows them to toast to the craft, creativity, and passion defining this moment in music.

In addition to The Golden Record, Patrón and Licorería Limantour have developed two more cocktails specifically for Grammy week: the Patrón High Note and The Clear Winner. The Patrón High Note features 1.5 oz of Patrón Silver Tequila, 1.5 oz of tomato mango purée, 0.5 oz of Patrón Citrónge Orange Liqueur, and 0.75 oz of lime juice, served in a glass rimmed with Maldon salt and garnished with a mango slice. The Clear Winner combines 2 oz of Patrón Cristalino with 1 oz of Martini & Rossi Bianco, 0.75 oz of Luxardo Bitter Bianco, and 0.15 oz of Suze Aperitif, finished with a dash of Scrappy’s lime bitters and garnished with a lemon twist.

As the Grammy Awards prepare to celebrate music’s finest, the introduction of The Golden Record cocktail signifies a spirited collaboration between the world of cocktails and the music industry, setting the stage for an unforgettable night.
