Jean A. Bergman, aged 84, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Florida after a brief battle with cancer. Originally from Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, she leaves behind a loving family and a legacy of kindness and creativity.
Bergman is survived by her children, Ken (Lisa Blee) Bergman and Jeff (Jenny) Bergman, as well as her brother-in-law Ron (Leslie) Bergman of Washington and sister-in-law Judy (Andy) Weber of North Carolina. She also cherished her five grandchildren—Corey (Maddie), Tess (William), Max (Peyton), Devin, and Sophia—and her great-grandchild, Callen.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Bergman, along with her parents, Gilbert and Leota Mannor, and her brothers, Jack Mannor and Richard Mannor, as well as her sister-in-law Joyce Mannor.
Life and Legacy
Born and raised in Acme, Michigan, Jean attended Michigan State University. Over her career, she held various administrative roles, the most notable being her work with the Inver Grove Heights Police Department. Her dedication to her family and community was evident in her passions, which included golf and arts and crafts.
Jean often engaged in crafting activities with her family, creating various items that she generously donated to charitable organizations. Her commitment to supporting community causes will be fondly remembered by those who knew her.
In lieu of formal services, the family requests that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society, honoring Jean’s battle against cancer.
