Jay Bianchi Sentenced to 11 Years for Serial Sexual Assaults

Former Denver music promoter and businessman Jay Bianchi has been sentenced to 11 years in prison following his convictions for multiple counts of sexual assault and unlawful sexual contact. The ruling was announced by Denver District Attorney John Walsh on November 10, 2025, after a trial that revealed a pattern of predatory behavior over several years.

Bianchi faced a total of 11 charges during the November trial, which featured testimony from dozens of witnesses and included hundreds of pieces of evidence. The allegations against him spanned from 2020 to 2024 and were linked to his bars, Sancho’s Broken Arrow and So Many Roads Brewery, both of which were known for a Grateful Dead theme. These establishments were also involved in police investigations related to drug dealing and violations of COVID-19 regulations.

During the trial, jurors found Bianchi guilty on five counts, specifically three counts of sexual assault and two counts of unlawful sexual contact. The evidence presented included expert testimony and detailed accounts from victims, which ultimately led to his conviction after an eight-day deliberation period.

In a statement, Walsh characterized Bianchi as a “serial sexual predator,” emphasizing the gravity of his crimes. “Over several years, he sexually assaulted women who were physically incapable of defending themselves,” Walsh said. He expressed hope that the sentence would provide some measure of comfort to Bianchi’s victims.

The prosecution team, led by Chief Deputy District Attorneys Bree Beasley and Chris Curtis, received commendation from Walsh for their thorough work on the case. Despite attempts by Bianchi’s defense to undermine the credibility of the victims, the prosecution’s comprehensive approach successfully conveyed the severity of the crimes to the jury.

Walsh also extended his gratitude to the victim advocates and administrative staff who supported the prosecution. Their combined efforts contributed to a strong case against Bianchi, ensuring that justice was served.

As Bianchi begins his prison sentence, the case stands as a reminder of the ongoing efforts to combat sexual violence and support victims in their pursuit of justice.
