The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) has revealed the full roster of 232 athletes who will represent Team USA at the upcoming Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. The Games are set to commence on February 4, 2026, and feature a diverse group of competitors from various winter sports disciplines.
In a statement released on January 26, USOPC CEO Sarah Hirshland expressed pride in the athletes, stating, “Today we proudly introduce the 2026 U.S. Olympic Team — a group of extraordinary athletes whose commitment, perseverance, and spirit reflect the very best of Team USA.” She emphasized the importance of community support, noting that each athlete’s success is a collective achievement.
This year’s roster includes a remarkable 98 athletes who have previously competed in the Olympics. Among them are seven seasoned competitors who are set to make their fifth Olympic appearance: Evan Bates (figure skating), Nick Baumgartner (snowboarding), Faye Thelen (snowboarding), Kaillie Humphries (bobsled), Hilary Knight (ice hockey), Meyers Taylor (bobsled), and Lindsey Vonn (alpine skiing).
Team USA will also feature 33 returning Olympic medalists, including 18 athletes who have collectively secured 22 gold medals. Notably, 10 athletes will be competing for the fourth time, while 22 are returning for their third Olympic Games. The size of this year’s American delegation may set a record, surpassing the 228 athletes who participated in the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics.
