The film has garnered a 71% “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, suggesting a favorable reception from critics. Previews in the U.S. will begin at 3 p.m.Emily Brontë‘s classic novel.

Warner Bros. acquired the production from MRC for $80 million, outbidding Netflix, which had offered $150 million. The film’s overseas comparisons include *The Housemaid*, which debuted with $34.8 million and went on to earn over $350 million globally.

Last weekend, early previews in the UK generated $1.8 million, indicating a solid foundation for the film’s international performance. Filming took place in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, providing a stunning backdrop for the romantic retelling of the tumultuous relationship between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff.
