The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) has announced the addition of Dr. Julie Rajotte-Caron as a breast surgeon at its Breast Care Center. Dr. Rajotte-Caron brings a wealth of experience from both her medical training and diverse professional background.
Before pursuing her medical degree, Dr. Rajotte-Caron worked as a surgical assistant at Kanata Plastic Surgery in Ottawa, Canada. Her journey into healthcare began earlier, as she served as a registered nurse with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Notably, she was part of the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART), which provided critical support in the Philippines following the devastating typhoon in 2013. She has also engaged in humanitarian efforts in El Salvador.
Educational Background and Training
Dr. Rajotte-Caron earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in Québec. She later completed her Doctor of Medicine at Saint James School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. To further hone her surgical skills, she underwent general surgery training at the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, North Carolina.
