UPDATE: Children in Ashburnham are invited to a captivating evening of Halloween storytelling with renowned storyteller Todd Goodwin. The event, titled “Halloween Campfire for Children,” will take place on Thursday, October 23, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stevens Memorial Library, located at 20 Memorial Drive.
This engaging event promises to ignite the imagination of young listeners as Goodwin shares seasonal tales around a metaphorical “campfire.” Goodwin, a native of Fitchburg and a seasoned storyteller, blends personal camping experiences with literature to create an immersive storytelling atmosphere. “Around the campfire there are no costumes or sets, just the face and voice of the teller,” Goodwin explained.
With over 45 years of experience, Goodwin has captivated audiences in schools, libraries, and community centers across the region with his unique storytelling style, which incorporates music and humor. His passion for engaging young minds is evident as he remarks, “I enjoy watching listeners’ faces as they use their imagination to get into a story. And they always do!”
This free, family-friendly event is hosted by the Friends of the Stevens Memorial Library, making it accessible for all families looking for Halloween fun.
For those interested, registration is encouraged. Visit the library’s website at ashburnhamlibrary.org for more details. To learn more about Todd Goodwin and his storytelling endeavors, check out his website at good41.com.
