The Humane Society of Shenandoah County has initiated a donation drive aimed at gathering essential supplies for pets in need. A dedicated drop box is now available at the Woodstock Goodwill store, located at 1011 S. Main St., where community members can contribute pet wet or dry food, treats, toys, and gift cards for stores like Tractor Supply, Walmart, and Petsmart.
This initiative is open to the public during the Goodwill store’s operating hours, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. The Humane Society encourages all residents to participate, highlighting the importance of community support in caring for animals.
In addition to food and toys, monetary donations in the form of gift cards for various retailers are also welcomed. These contributions can significantly enhance the welfare of local pets awaiting adoption, as they help provide necessary resources for their care.
For further information about the donation drive, individuals can contact the Humane Society of Shenandoah County at 540-984-7101 or visit their website at www.hsscva.org. The organization emphasizes that every contribution, no matter how small, can make a positive impact on the lives of animals in the community.
