Kristin Blas Steps Up as Community Association Manager at CAMCO Nevada

Kristin Blas has officially transitioned into the role of Community Association Manager at CAMCO Nevada following the completion of her two-year provisional training. This promotion places her at the helm of community management for one of the largest firms in the state, enhancing the leadership team at CAMCO.
Blas joined CAMCO in 2021 as an administrative assistant, where her proactive approach quickly distinguished her among peers. According to Lucille Sanchez, senior association services director at CAMCO, “Kristin has been a go-getter since joining CAMCO. She quickly fell in love with the industry and transitioned into a manager role in 2023.” Her dedication and enthusiasm have been pivotal in her rapid advancement within the company.
In her new capacity, Blas will engage directly with community boards, a responsibility she embraces wholeheartedly. “Her boards appreciate her upbeat personality and strong commitment,” Sanchez noted. Blas has built a reputation for her willingness to learn and contribute effectively, which positions her as a key asset in fostering community relationships.
Reflecting on her journey, Blas expressed gratitude for her professional growth. “When I started my journey into becoming a CAM, it was a little difficult for me. Schooling was not my strong point, and going through the classes and training to become a full CAM was a fulfilling accomplishment,” she stated. Her career shift after 15 years in a different field has led her to discover a newfound passion for community management.
Blas highlighted the collaborative atmosphere at CAMCO, noting, “I work with amazing people who help me if I do not know an answer to a question. I have amazing Board members I have connected with on a personal level, which is an important part of being a community manager.” She emphasized her commitment to supporting both board members and the communities they serve, stating, “We are here to help our Board members and their communities to be the best they can be. I like being a part of the solution. I cannot see myself doing anything else.”
As Blas embarks on this new chapter, she remains focused on further developing her career in community management. Her journey reflects a blend of personal growth and professional achievement, which serves as an inspiration to others in the industry.
