Todd Stashwick Ready to Return as ‘Shawlogram’ in Star Trek: Legacy
BREAKING: Todd Stashwick, known for his role as Captain Liam Shaw in Star Trek: Picard, has expressed his willingness to return in the anticipated spinoff Star Trek: Legacy—but only if the project meets high expectations. Stashwick’s character met a tragic end in Season 3, but both he and showrunner Terry Matalas hinted at an intriguing twist: a return as an Emergency Engineering Hologram, playfully dubbed the “Shawlogram.”
During the STLV: Trek to Vegas event in August, Stashwick stated he would be eager to reprise his role under the right conditions. “I’m there,” he declared, emphasizing the importance of having the original cast onboard, including the likes of Jeri Ryan and Ed Speleers. This comes as fans eagerly await official news about the future of the franchise.
Stashwick conveyed his passion for the Star Trek universe: “I love workin’. I love the character of Shaw. I love the Star Trek universe.” His sentiment resonates deeply with fans who were left wanting more after the acclaimed finale of Star Trek: Picard Season 3.
Matalas revealed that he has drafted approximately 30 pages of the pilot for Star Trek: Legacy, which aims to reunite the beloved characters, including a prominent role for Seven of Nine as captain. Additionally, hints of Klingon involvement in the storyline have sparked excitement among the fanbase.
As momentum builds for new Star Trek content, the management at Paramount Skydance is reportedly prioritizing fresh series and films. Stashwick’s potential return, alongside the original creators and actors, is seen as vital for the success of Star Trek: Legacy.
While the future remains uncertain, Stashwick’s enthusiasm and the show’s promising direction have fans buzzing with anticipation. Will the USS Enterprise-G saga continue? Only time will tell, but one thing is clear: the Star Trek community is ready for more epic adventures.
