BREAKING: Elaine Hendrix, star of “Dancing With The Stars,” has just confirmed her return to rehearsals following a serious rib injury that sent her to the hospital earlier this month. In a heartfelt Instagram update posted on October 29, 2023, Hendrix shared her recovery progress and plans to be back in the ballroom for the upcoming live show on November 4, 2023.
In a video message, Hendrix, 54, stated, “I am up and about. I am tender. I am sore. But I’m starting pain management today.” Accompanied by her dance partner, Alan Bersten, 31, she reassured fans, “We’ll be back at it Friday, and I’m just getting ready to be in that ballroom next Tuesday.”
Earlier this month, Hendrix was hospitalized after experiencing severe rib pain during rehearsals for Halloween Night. She revealed that while practicing to “Defying Gravity” from “Wicked,” her ribs “just seized up,” necessitating immediate medical attention. “I couldn’t move. They brought me to the hospital,” she explained. Fortunately, doctors advised that with some rest, she would be able to continue her DWTS journey.
Despite missing the Halloween Night broadcast, in which Jen Affleck and Jan Ravnik were eliminated, Hendrix expressed her disappointment over not being able to perform. “The hardest part of yesterday was not being able to show you just how incredible our piece could have been,” she lamented, sharing behind-the-scenes images of her costume inspired by Charlize Theron in “Mad Max: Fury Road.”
Hendrix’s costume featured a tattered, neutral-toned dress and a striking braided updo, showcasing the creative efforts of the DWTS team. The latest updates indicate that the judges awarded Hendrix and Bersten scores of 8s based on footage from their last full rehearsal, allowing them to avoid elimination thanks to dedicated fan votes.
In a TikTok Live segment, Bersten confirmed, “You guys voted, we are going to be safe. We got another dance to do.” He expressed gratitude for the support, stating they would take the week easy but are eager to return for the next performance.
As anticipation builds for Hendrix’s comeback on November 4, fans are eagerly awaiting her return to the dance floor. This latest development not only highlights her resilience but also showcases the strong support from her fans and fellow contestants.
