URGENT UPDATE: Dinners For Kids will hold its 7th Annual “Thanks for Giving!” Fall Gathering on Wednesday, November 5, at the JCC in Kingston, honoring renowned business leader and philanthropist Sandy Insalaco Sr.. This significant event, beginning with a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., is set to celebrate Insalaco’s extraordinary commitment to childhood nutrition and community service.
Insalaco will receive the prestigious Distinguished Advocate for Childhood Nutrition Award for his relentless efforts in combating childhood hunger. “Few individuals embody the true spirit of giving like Sandy,” stated David Tevet, founder and executive director of Dinners For Kids. His dedication has resulted in a lasting impact on local families, sustaining numerous nonprofit initiatives, including the vital work carried out by Dinners For Kids.
In addition to honoring Insalaco, the evening will recognize Charles “Charlie” Dancheck with the Jim Haggerty Service Award for his decades of volunteerism, including over ten years of meal deliveries with Dinners For Kids. Since its inception in 2011, Dinners For Kids has provided over 75,000 freshly prepared meals annually to more than 240 children in the Wilkes-Barre, West Side, and Dallas areas.
