Los Angeles County has officially opened an additional 140 vote centers as part of preparations for the statewide special election on November 4, 2025. This expansion supplements the 111 sites already established, bringing the total to 251 locations available for in-person voting, voter registration, and the return of vote-by-mail ballots.
The newly opened centers will operate daily from 10:00 to 19:00 local time, providing ample opportunities for residents to participate in the electoral process. Each voter in the county received a postcard detailing the nearest vote centers, which are designed to facilitate early voting and alleviate congestion on Election Day.
Dean C. Logan, the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, emphasized the convenience this initiative offers voters. In a statement, he encouraged residents to take advantage of the extended voting period, saying, “With all L.A. County Vote Centers open, voters have convenient options to cast their ballot early. Avoid the rush, make a plan to vote early this weekend or Monday at a location that’s convenient for you.”
Vote Center Locations and Accessibility
The vote centers include prominent locations such as the Metro Headquarters and the Millennium Biltmore Tower, among others. Voters can find a complete list and map of vote center locations online at locator.lavote.gov. The website offers optional GPS tracking features, allowing users to identify the nearest center at any given time.
For those who may have missed the registration deadline, there is still an opportunity to participate. Eligible voters can visit any vote center to complete a “conditional” voter registration and cast their ballot during the election.
Logan highlighted the importance of proactive engagement in the electoral process. He stated, “This is a critical election for our community, and we want to ensure that everyone has the chance to make their voice heard.”
With the additional centers now open, voters in Los Angeles County are encouraged to plan their visits ahead of time. More information regarding voting and election details can be found at www.lavote.gov/home/voting-elections/current-elections/find-my-election-information.
The expansion of voting facilities demonstrates a commitment to enhancing democratic participation and ensuring that all eligible voters have access to the electoral process.
