UPDATE: The highly anticipated Annual Friends of the Conant Public Library Arts & Crafts Show is set for a new location this year, promising even more holiday cheer and convenience for shoppers. Taking place on Saturday, November 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event will be hosted at Houghton Elementary and Chocksett Middle Schools, located at 32 Boutelle Road in Sterling.
This year’s show features over 50 vendors, all showcasing handmade holiday gifts crafted by talented local artisans. “The new venue allows space for even more artists and craftspeople,” said Beth Cyr, chairperson of the craft fair. The event, which has historically been held at the First Church in Sterling, has grown significantly in popularity, making this relocation necessary.
Shoppers will find a treasure trove of unique items including alpaca products, aromatherapy, baskets, beach glass art, skincare items, candles, and much more. Additionally, new offerings this year include maple syrup, pet portraits, and custom wreaths. The return of beloved traditions such as a bake sale, cheese sale, raffle, and lunch café promises to enhance the festive atmosphere.
Admission for this event is just $2, with proceeds supporting programs at the Conant Public Library. Each attendee will receive a “Passport” to be stamped at three locations for a chance to win exciting prizes.
Although vendor spaces are fully booked, artisans interested in participating next year can contact Beth Cyr via email at [email protected] to join the waiting list.
