BREAKING: Craig Sheil, a graduate adjunct instructor at Fitchburg State University, has just been honored as a MassCUE Pathfinder Awardee at the 2025 MassCUE conference held at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. This prestigious recognition celebrates educators who have significantly advanced the field of educational technology.
During the ceremony, Sheil expressed his gratitude, stating, “It is such an honor to be recognized for this award. I am certainly proud of the work that I have done along my educational journey.” The MassCUE Pathfinder Award is given to individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership and inspire their peers, and Sheil shares this honor with Dr. Rayna Freedman, a fifth-grade teacher at Jordan Jackson School in Mansfield.
With over 23 years in public education, Sheil’s journey began as a high school mathematics teacher. He now serves as a digital learning specialist at Bedford High School in Bedford, NH, where he is dedicated to helping educators effectively integrate technology into their classrooms. “It certainly is not a dull moment as we continue to navigate this world of AI and what that might look like in the educational setting,” Sheil noted.
Since completing his master’s degree at Fitchburg State University in 2012, Sheil has effectively merged his roles, applying insights from his digital learning position to enhance his teaching at the university. This synergy not only benefits his students but also enriches the educational experiences of his colleagues.
