Unison Bank’s $250,000 Gift Creates New Community Hub at UJ

BREAKING: Unison Bank has just unveiled a transformative $250,000 investment at the University of Jamestown, fueling the creation of a vibrant new community hub known as The Well Coffee Shop. Officially opened this fall, The Well is located within the newly established Reuben and Clarice Liechty Center for Faith and Life, positioned strategically between the historic Voorhees Chapel and the Badal Nafus Student Union.

This innovative space is set to redefine campus life, quickly emerging as a central gathering point for students and community members alike.

“It is a special place for the campus and community to enjoy,”

stated Brett Moser, Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations. His remarks highlight the significance of Unison Bank’s generosity in realizing this vision, emphasizing the lasting impact it will have for years to come.

The Well is not just a coffee bar; it symbolizes a deeper purpose, reflecting the university’s faith-based mission. It serves as a modern-day “well,” a nurturing environment where students and locals can come together for refreshment, reflection, and spiritual growth. Unison Bank’s President and CEO, Kelly Rachel, articulated the bank’s vision, stating,

“We were excited about creating a space where students feel cared for, energized, and supported.”

Rachel added, “When students have a place that nourishes both their minds and their spirits, they’re more equipped to dream bigger, work harder, and build the futures God is calling them toward.”

Founded in Jamestown in 1965, Unison Bank has a longstanding commitment to supporting education and community-driven initiatives. The bank’s philosophy, “We give back because helping others achieve their dreams is at the core of who we are,” highlights its dedication to fostering a culture of intentionality among students.

As The Well brews coffee, it also brews ideas, friendships, and a renewed sense of purpose for the university community. The University of Jamestown reports that this new hub is already becoming a favored spot where students pause, pray, and connect with one another, enriching their college journey.
