Epiphone Launches New Signature Guitars for Gem Archer and Paul Arthurs

Epiphone has unveiled two new signature guitars: the Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton and the Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs Riviera. These models celebrate the legacy of the renowned musicians and their longstanding connection to the brand. Both guitars will be featured during the upcoming Oasis 2025 tour, showcasing their unique designs and high-quality craftsmanship.

Gem Archer’s Signature Model

Gem Archer, famed for his work with Oasis and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, has long been associated with the Epiphone Sheraton. This new model, the Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton, draws inspiration from the original Sheraton first introduced in 1958. Archer recalls, “The Epiphone Sheraton first came into my world when I borrowed Noel’s for Oasis tours and recording. When I started playing with him again in the High Flying Birds in 2017, this was the guitar I asked if he still had.”

The Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton features a semi-hollowbody construction made from five-ply layered maple/poplar, with a maple centerblock designed to enhance sustain and feedback resistance. The one-piece mahogany neck is shaped into a comfortable 60s C profile, complemented by a rosewood fretboard adorned with mother-of-pearl inlays. The guitar’s aesthetic is further enhanced by its gold hardware and a Vintage Gloss finish, making it a visually striking instrument.

Electronics include USA-made Gibson Mini Humbucker pickups, providing a rich and dynamic sound. The guitar also comes equipped with high-quality CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors, ensuring top-tier performance. Available in both right- and left-handed versions, the Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton includes an Epiphone hardshell case for protection and portability.

Paul Arthurs’ Riviera Tribute

Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, another iconic figure from Oasis, is also celebrating his connection to Epiphone with the new Riviera model. Arthurs expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’m still playing my original 1984 guitar on the Oasis 2025 tour, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m excited to bring this new guitar to audiences who experienced it back in the day, as well as those coming out to see us on this tour. It plays great and sounds massive; you’re gonna love it.”

The Riviera has been a staple for Arthurs since his early days of rehearsing in Manchester. He recalls significant performances, including those at Knebworth and during Liam Gallagher’s solo career. This new model aims to connect with both long-time fans and new audiences, showcasing the enduring relationship between the musician and his instrument.

Lee Bartram, Head of Commercial and Marketing EMEA at Gibson, emphasizes the significance of these releases, stating, “2025 is turning out to be quite the year for live music, and we’re thrilled to play a small part in paying tribute to one of the greatest reunions of the 21st century!” Bartram recalls seeing Archer perform with the Sheraton for the first time at a concert in Manchester on July 2, 2005, a moment that solidified the connection between the artist and the brand.

These new guitars not only highlight the craftsmanship of Epiphone but also the musical journeys of Archer and Arthurs. As the Oasis 2025 tour approaches, fans can look forward to experiencing the unique sound and design of these signature models, further enriching the legacy of two influential musicians in the rock genre.
