Gilbert D. Hepler, aged 84, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away on December 29, 2025. Born in Greenfield to parents Donald and Bernice Hepler, Gilbert’s life was marked by service, family, and community involvement.
Hepler served with pride in the Iowa Air National Guard, where he dedicated a significant part of his life to the nation. He was known for being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him.
Gilbert enjoyed various pastimes, including golfing, fishing, and boating, often spending time on home improvement projects. His enthusiasm for life extended to his affiliations with local organizations, as he was an active member of the Elks Lodge, the Masons, and the church community.
Family and Legacy
Hepler is survived by his wife, Wanda Kay Hepler, daughter Vickie Hepler, grandson Dylan Ritter, and brother Keith Hepler (Cleta). His family remembers him as a loving and supportive figure who cherished every moment with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Leslie Ritter. The loss of Gilbert has left a void in his family and community, as he was a beloved presence in the lives of many.
