The annual Spooky Sprint is set to take place in Fort Worth on October 28, 2023. This Halloween-themed event features a variety of races, including a 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon, making it an ideal outing for families and fitness enthusiasts alike.

Participants can look forward to a range of exciting features that enhance the festive atmosphere. Each runner will receive a designer shirt and a custom medal, ensuring that everyone leaves with a memento of the day. The event will also employ chip-timing technology, providing live results and awards for top finishers. To sweeten the experience, delicious treats will be available at the finish line, promising a rewarding end to the races.

For those unable to attend in person, a virtual race option is available, allowing participants to run at their convenience while still earning the fun swag. This flexibility is designed to accommodate a wider audience, ensuring that everyone can join in the fun.

Registration for the races includes specific benefits tailored to each distance. The 5k and 10k races are priced at $17 for participants aged 12 and under. The Half Marathon registration offers a custom bib, a designer shirt, and an impressive finisher medal. Similarly, those signing up for the 10k will also receive a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. In addition, the 5k registration includes the same perks, guaranteeing that every participant enjoys the experience.

The event will also feature a 1 Mile untimed run, which includes a custom bib and shirt, as well as a finisher medal. For younger participants, the Kid’s Dash welcomes children aged 10 and under. This untimed fun run includes a mini bib, a youth-sized shirt, and a specially crafted medal. Parents can encourage their children to join the Kid’s Dash without registering, should they choose not to receive the swag.

To ensure participants receive their shirts, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday two weeks prior to race day. This allows organizers to prepare adequately for all attendees.

The Spooky Sprint promises to be more than just a race; it is a community event that brings together families and friends for a day of fitness and fun. With engaging activities, competitive spirit, and the joy of Halloween, participants are encouraged to register early and secure their spot in this festive celebration.
