Fort Bend Care Center, located in Missouri City, Texas, has received a significant boost in its capital campaign following the approval of a $500,000 challenge grant from the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation. This funding will support the construction of a new facility aimed at enhancing the center’s capacity to serve the community.
The grant propels the Care Center to 87% of its $5.6 million capital campaign goal, which is earmarked for building a 14,000 square-foot center. This expansion is expected to double the center’s current capacity to provide essential services. The new facility will house classrooms for early childhood education and adult learning, along with flexible program spaces that will address the increasing needs of the community.

To secure the $500,000 donation from the Mabee Foundation, the Care Center must raise the remaining $738,500 by October 14, 2026.
