Playa Bowls Opens New Location in Exton on November 8

Playa Bowls, a popular superfruit bowl shop known for its acai bowls and smoothies, is set to launch its new location in Exton, Pennsylvania, on November 8, 2023. The shop will introduce its vibrant, beach-inspired atmosphere to the local community, aiming to provide healthier dining options.

The Exton store will be operated by Leo Khugaev, along with his mother, Dr. Olga Bokeriya, and sister, Sofiia Khugaev. The family is excited to offer a fresh alternative for health-conscious individuals in the area. Located at 159 West Lincoln Highway, the new shop is conveniently situated across from Whole Foods and the Exton Square Mall.

To celebrate the grand opening, Playa Bowls will host several events, including giveaways for the first 50 customers who will receive a free bowl and a custom t-shirt. Additionally, the store will run five days of giveaways leading up to the opening, including a chance to win free bowls for a month.

Leo Khugaev, a student at West Chester University, expressed his enthusiasm for the brand. “Playa Bowls represents the perfect balance. It’s better-for-you, convenient, and never sacrifices on quality,” he said. His passion for wellness and nutritious food was inspired by his experiences at the Jersey Shore, where he first discovered Playa Bowls.

The Khugaev family envisions the Exton location as a hub for students, families, and professionals seeking healthy, on-the-go meals. The area is home to several bustling shopping centers, fitness studios, and a soon-to-open Trader Joe’s, making it an ideal spot for the new shop.

Guests can choose from an extensive menu of acai and pitaya bowls, or customize their own with various superfoods, such as coconut, kale, and mango. A selection of fresh-cut fruits, seeds, nuts, and granola are also available as toppings. For those with dietary preferences, Playa Bowls offers vegan and gluten-free options, as well as adaptations for Whole30, Keto, and Paleo diets.

Playa Bowls was founded by surfers Abby Taylor and Rob Giuliani, who aimed to replicate the acai and pitaya bowls they enjoyed during surf trips in places like Costa Rica and Hawaii. Eleven years since its inception, the brand continues to promote healthy living with its superfruit-packed offerings.

The Exton location will operate seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.. For more information about Playa Bowls and updates on the Exton location, visit playabowls.com/exton-pa-lincoln-hwy and follow the shop on Instagram at @playabowlsexton_lincolnhwy.
