At 38 years of age, Nagelsmann is six years younger than Carrick but has a more extensive managerial background. While Carrick’s only full-time role prior to his interim position was with Middlesbrough from 2022 to 2025, Nagelsmann has an impressive history, having managed Hoffenheim, RB Leipzig, and Bayern Munich before taking on the German national team in 2023.
