Olean General Hospital and Bradford Regional Medical Center are collaborating with ConnectLife to host community blood drives this month. The initiative aims to encourage local residents to donate blood and support the regional blood supply.
Olean General Hospital will hold its blood drive today, December 1, 2023, from 08:00 to 13:00. This event will take place on the ConnectLife Bus, stationed at the Mildred Milliman Outpatient Surgery Center, located directly across from the hospital. Individuals interested in donating can schedule an appointment by visiting connectlifegiveblood.org and using sponsor code 000485, or by calling (716) 529-4270.
The blood drive at Bradford Regional Medical Center is set for Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 10:00 to 15:00 in the hospital’s main lobby. Appointments can be made by visiting connectlifegiveblood.org with sponsor code 000468, or by contacting Kim Murphey at (814) 362-8298.
Donating just one pint of blood can save up to three lives within the community. To incentivize donations, all participants throughout December will receive a pair of tickets to an upcoming Buffalo Sabres home game.
In addition, ConnectLife has introduced a new promotion called Suite Seats for Life Savers. Running through December 31, 2023, this initiative offers donors a chance to win a suite for themselves and 16 guests at Highmark Stadium for the Buffalo Bills‘ final regular season game. To qualify, donors must complete either two whole blood donations and one double red cell donation or four platelet donations during the promotion period.
Through these blood drives, both hospitals aim to foster community spirit while addressing the urgent need for blood donations. The collaboration with ConnectLife underscores their commitment to enhancing public health and saving lives in the region.
