Staten Island high school boys’ basketball teams delivered impressive performances in recent PSAL action, with notable victories from Susan Wagner, MSIT, and Eagle Staten Island. These games showcased emerging talent and solid teamwork, contributing to the teams’ standings as the season progresses.

Falcons Soar with Strong Performance

On March 16, 2024, in Sea View, the **Susan Wagner Falcons** triumphed over **Brooklyn Collegiate** with a decisive score of **78-53**. Point guard **Chris Albano** led the charge, scoring **21 points** while his teammates **Clevi Hoxha** and **Charles Gambino** added **18 and 13 points**, respectively. After a slow start that saw them trailing **18-16** at the end of the first quarter, the Falcons turned the game around in the second quarter, limiting Brooklyn Collegiate to just **seven points**.

Wagner’s head coach **Danny Lanigan** praised his team’s performance, emphasizing their improved ball movement. “We are sharing the ball as best as we have all season, and it’s been putting our shooters in great position to make shots,” Lanigan stated. His players responded well, with **Gambino** and teammate **Darin Humes-James** contributing crucial rebounds, securing **nine** and **eight**, respectively.

Seagulls and Eagles Take Flight
