18 Difference Makers Honored at Cleveland Jewish News Gala on Dec. 11

UPDATE: The Cleveland Jewish News is set to honor 18 Difference Makers at its 10th annual reception on December 11, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in Landerhaven, Mayfield Heights. This significant event celebrates outstanding contributions to the community, making it a must-attend for those invested in local leadership.

Highlighting this year’s gala, Erika Gold, a Holocaust survivor and member of the inaugural class of CJN 18 Difference Makers, will receive the prestigious Sam Miller Lifetime Achievement Award. At 93 years old, Gold has dedicated her life to sharing her story and educating future generations.

Additionally, Lee Fisher, president of Baldwin Wallace University, will be honored with the Civic Leadership Award for his years of service in education and law. The Wain family—including Beth Wain Brandon, Amy Wain, Cathy Stamler, and David Wain—will receive the Generation Award, recognizing their family’s long-standing impact on the community, particularly through their late father, Norman Wain.
