18-Year-Old Charged in Fatal Logan Square Shooting
UPDATE: An 18-year-old has been charged in connection with the tragic shooting death of a 26-year-old woman in Logan Square, Chicago, just last month. Authorities have confirmed that Evan Reich was arrested on Friday, October 20, 2023, becoming the third suspect charged in this shocking incident.
The shooting occurred on September 13, 2023, in the 3400-block of West Wabansia Avenue. Police report that the victim was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head and was quickly transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Reich is facing serious charges, including first degree murder and attempted murder. Two other suspects, Gabriel Rodriguez and Julio Diaz, were arrested earlier this week on Wednesday and have also been charged with first degree murder.
This surge in violence has raised alarm among local residents, highlighting ongoing safety concerns in the area. Officials are urging the community to remain vigilant as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic loss of life.
