De La Salle Crushes Amador Valley 56-13 in Dominant Showdown

BREAKING: De La Salle High School showcased its dominance once again, crushing Amador Valley 56-13 in a decisive victory on Friday night, October 27, 2023. The Spartans, currently ranked as the top team by the Bay Area News Group, extended their undefeated record to 7-0, leaving little doubt about their championship aspirations.
The game kicked off with a stunning 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Jayden Nicholas, setting the tone for a night of high-octane offense. Just minutes later, quarterback Brayden Knight connected with Dylan Scott for a 30-yard touchdown pass, followed by a 15-yard scoring pass to Landon Cook, all within the first quarter.
By the time the first quarter ended, De La Salle had built an insurmountable lead of 35-0. Knight continued to pile on the points with an additional touchdown pass to Emery Speight, making it 27-0, and a ten-yard rushing touchdown that pushed the score to 42-0.
Amador Valley, now 2-6 for the season, managed to score their first points when Vincent Maiorana sprinted for a 68-yard touchdown, but it was too little, too late. De La Salle’s defense and relentless offense proved too much for the home team.
The Spartans are on track to finish their regular season with three more games, including a pivotal matchup next week against San Ramon Valley, followed by home games against California on October 30 and Clayton Valley Charter on November 7. The team is gearing up for a likely two-game section playoff run as they aim for their first state Open Division championship in a decade.
Meanwhile, Amador Valley has a week off to regroup before facing Monte Vista on October 31 and concluding their season at California on November 7.
This dominating performance by De La Salle not only solidifies their position as a formidable contender but also excites fans as they look ahead to the playoffs. Stay tuned for more updates on their journey toward the championship.
