BREAKING NEWS: The Eagle County School District Information Technology Department has just been named a 2025 Global Winner of the prestigious ONCON ICON Top 100 Award in two categories: Technology Team and Information Security. The announcement was made on October 21, 2025, during the annual ONCON ICON Awards ceremony, which celebrates transformative leaders and teams in the tech industry.
This recognition comes at a crucial time for educational institutions, emphasizing the importance of robust technology frameworks in enhancing student success. The ONCON ICON Awards are among the world’s most esteemed peer-to-peer accolades, showcasing exceptional leadership and innovation across various sectors. Being honored as a Global Top 100 Winner signifies international acknowledgment of the district’s outstanding contributions to both organizational success and the professional community.
Phil Qualman, Superintendent of Eagle County School District, expressed his pride, stating,
“This recognition is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the hard work, collaboration, and innovation that define our Information Technology team.”
He highlighted the pivotal role of Jack Donnelly and his IT team in ensuring secure, reliable technology that empowers education across Eagle County.

This accolade underscores their commitment to driving digital transformation and cybersecurity excellence in educational settings.
In addition to the ONCON ICON Award, the IT team has garnered attention from Boss Magazine, which profiled their innovative approach to digital transformation and equitable access to technology. The article showcased the district’s vision for creating a secure, future-ready technology ecosystem that empowers both educators and students.
Adding to their accolades, Eagle County School District’s User Support Team has been honored with the Elite Servicer Award by Lenovo for outstanding performance in the Device Self-Maintainer Program.
