Jalen Hurts Sparks Eagles with 326 Yards, 3 TDs in Win

UPDATE: Jalen Hurts delivered a stunning performance, throwing for 326 yards and 3 touchdowns, leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a 28-22 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. This victory marks a crucial rebound for the Eagles, who were reeling from two consecutive losses.
Hurts displayed remarkable accuracy, completing 19 of 23 passes, revitalizing an offense that had struggled in recent weeks. He connected with A.J. Brown for two touchdowns and targeted DeVonta Smith, who achieved a career-high 183 receiving yards, including a spectacular 79-yard touchdown.
With just 1:45 left in the game, Hurts faced a pivotal third-and-9 from the Eagles’ 44-yard line. He delivered a clutch 45-yard pass to Brown, sealing the game by outmaneuvering former teammate Isaiah Rodgers. The Vikings, now 3-3, were unable to capitalize on their offensive opportunities, settling for field goals while struggling in the red zone.
Carson Wentz had a challenging day for the Vikings, completing 26 of 42 passes for 313 yards but throwing two costly interceptions. The Vikings’ offensive line faltered, with backup center Blake Brandel facing significant pressure, including a critical third-down sack in the fourth quarter.
The Eagles’ offensive coordinator, Kevin Patullo, executed a strategic game plan that included a strong running attack against a vulnerable Vikings defense. The Eagles marched 75 yards on their opening drive, showcasing their resilience and determination to return to winning form.
Injury concerns loom for the Eagles as they lost starting center Cam Jurgens to a knee injury and two defensive backups, Azeez Ojulari and Jeremiah Trotter, during the first quarter. Starting cornerback Adoree’ Jackson also exited the game with a concussion in the third quarter.
Next, the Eagles will host the New York Giants next Sunday, while the Vikings prepare for a road matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday.
This urgent update highlights the Eagles’ strong comeback and sets the stage for their next critical divisional battle, making it a game to watch as the season unfolds.
