UPDATE: James D. Styer, aged 80, of Exeter Township, has passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026. His death comes as a profound loss for family and friends, and services are set to take place on Monday, January 12, 2026.
Styer, who was the husband of the late Cynthia G. Styer, is remembered for his significant contributions to the electrical sales industry, having worked at Progress Electric Supply and later retiring from Colonial Electric Supply. Born in Reading, Styer was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
His family includes his children, Andrew J. Styer, fiancé of Kimberly Moyer, and Paula Styer, spouse of Kelly Eghujovbo, along with his grandchildren: Evan Styer, Luke Styer, Nathan Styer, Aiden Tobias, and Henry Moyer-Daniels. He is also survived by his brothers, John Styer and Joel Styer, and his friend and travel partner, Roxann Frain.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., located at 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by services beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Forest Hills Memorial Park, located at 390 W Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606.
