BREAKING: KFC’s exciting new spin-off, Saucy! By KFC, is ready to take the Jacksonville area by storm with the opening of two restaurants this spring. The first location will debut on March 23 at 4816 Gate Parkway, while the second is scheduled to launch on April 13 at 194 N. State Road 13 in the Julington Creek area of Saint Johns.
This bold new concept focuses on hand-breaded chicken tenders and a diverse range of unique sauces, promising to redefine fast food. The Orlando-based chain, which is a product of KFC’s heritage, has transformed former PDQ locations into vibrant eateries that cater to flavor enthusiasts.
“Our focus is simple: irresistible, freshly prepared chicken tendies, unforgettable signature sauces, and a high-energy atmosphere,” said Andrew Grosshans, general manager at Saucy!. “Jacksonville is an exciting next step for us, and opening two locations lets us bring our full experience to the community.”
In addition to chicken tenders, guests can enjoy chicken nuggets, sandwiches, rice bowls, loaded fries, and fresh salads. The customizable menu features Saucy’s signature sauces such as Saucy’s Sauce, Chimichurri Ranch, Korean Sweet Heat, and more. Dessert lovers can indulge in Puffies, mini pastries served with sweet dipping sauces.
Saucy! By KFC will operate daily from 11 a.m. to midnight, with drive-thru hours extending until 3 a.m. at the Gate Parkway location and 1 a.m. at Julington Creek. In a unique twist, the atmosphere will transform into a lively late-night hangout after 9 p.m., complete with music and dimmed lights.
To celebrate the grand openings, both locations will host special kickoff events. The Gate Parkway restaurant will feature giveaways and complimentary bites on March 23, while an exciting Saucy Soirée Party is set for April 11, complete with swag bags, a Sauce Bar led by a Sauce Sommelier, a live DJ, and interactive games.
“We are thrilled to bring our new concept to Jacksonville,” Grosshans added. “Our goal is to create a memorable dining experience that keeps guests coming back.”
Since launching in December 2024, Saucy! has opened six locations across Florida, with ten more planned for this year. The buildout of the Gate Parkway restaurant cost approximately $410,000, while the Julington Creek location’s buildout was estimated at $375,000.
This rapid expansion signals a growing demand for innovative dining options in the area, and Saucy! is poised to meet that demand with its fresh approach to flavor and fast food.
