L.A. County Opens 140 New Vote Centers Ahead of Nov. 4 Election

UPDATE: Los Angeles County has just announced the opening of an additional 140 vote centers for the rapidly approaching November 4, 2025, special election. This development expands the total number of polling locations to 251, ensuring voters have ample access to participate in this critical statewide election concerning the redrawing of California’s congressional districts.

Starting today, all 251 vote centers will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.. Voters can now cast their ballots in person, register to vote, or return vote-by-mail ballots at these locations. The county has proactively mailed postcards to all registered voters, detailing the nearest 11-day and four-day vote centers, making it easier than ever to plan for voting.

Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean C. Logan emphasized the importance of early voting, stating,

“With all L.A. County Vote Centers open, voters have convenient options to cast their ballot early. Avoid the rush, make a plan to vote early this weekend or Monday at a location that’s convenient for you.”

Among the newly opened centers are high-traffic locations such as the Metro Headquarters and the Millennium Biltmore Tower, both in downtown Los Angeles. These sites are strategically placed to accommodate the needs of thousands of voters seeking to make their voices heard.

Eligible voters who may have missed the registration deadline can still participate through “conditional” voter registration at any vote center. This allows individuals to register and vote on the same day, ensuring maximum accessibility for all residents.

For those looking for the most convenient voting options, a complete list and interactive map of vote center locations is available online at locator.lavote.gov. This resource includes optional GPS tracking to help voters find their nearest location in real-time.

As the election date nears, the urgency to engage in this pivotal decision-making process increases. Voters across Los Angeles County are encouraged to take advantage of the extended voting hours and numerous locations to ensure their participation in shaping the future of congressional representation in California.
