Lynn Community Health Center Named Top 100 Women-Led Business

UPDATE: The Lynn Community Health Center (LCHC) has just been recognized as one of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts by The Women’s Edge in collaboration with The Boston Globe. This prestigious honor marks LCHC’s inaugural appearance on the list and aligns with the 25th anniversary of this influential program.

Under the dynamic leadership of CEO Brenda Rodriguez, LCHC is making headlines for its commitment to innovation and equity in community health. Rodriguez, who has over a decade of experience in the community health sector, emphasizes the critical role of women-led leadership in shaping Massachusetts’ economic landscape.

Her leadership is particularly impactful due to her personal connection to community health care. Rodriguez is a patient at a federally qualified health center, providing her with unique insights into the challenges patients encounter. “Receiving this recognition alongside so many trailblazing women is truly meaningful,” Rodriguez stated. “This belongs to every woman who leads, innovates, and uplifts our mission across the community health center movement.”

LCHC serves more than 46,000 patients annually, offering essential services such as primary care, behavioral health, dental, and substance use services, regardless of a person’s ability to pay. The center has built a reputation for inclusive leadership, with a workforce that is predominantly women and highly diverse at all levels.

In her previous role as Chief Strategy and Financial Officer at Lowell Community Health Center, Rodriguez implemented growth strategies and equitable care practices that have set a high standard in the industry. “Brenda embodies the spirit and ambition of LCHC’s mission and values,” said Drew Russo, Chair of the LCHC Board. “Her lived experience, business acumen, and unwavering commitment to community-centered care give us great confidence in the path ahead.”

Ranked at #38 on this year’s list, LCHC joins a distinguished group of organizations leading the charge for purpose-driven, innovative, and inclusive leadership across Massachusetts. This recognition highlights not just Rodriguez’s leadership but also the extraordinary commitment of the entire LCHC team.

As the health center continues to expand access to critical services and deepen community partnerships, the impact of this recognition is profound. It signals a shift in leadership that prioritizes equity and community engagement, crucial elements in today’s healthcare landscape.
