Massachusetts Man Charged After Multi-Vehicle Crashes in Portsmouth

UPDATE: A chaotic series of crashes in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, has led to the arrest of a Massachusetts man, Adam Krahe, who is now facing multiple felony charges. The incidents unfolded on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, starting around 9:30 a.m. and involved a damaged truck that provoked a significant police response.

Authorities report that Krahe’s truck caused several accidents before it was finally stopped on Lafayette Road in Rye. Witnesses described a smoking vehicle and a chaotic scene that resulted in halted traffic for nearly two hours. Officers were forced to break a window to extricate Krahe, who refused to exit the vehicle.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the damage to property was extensive.
