On Saturday alone, Ciattarelli held six rallies, including one at an American Legion hall in Westfield. He expressed hope that his campaign could help Republicans gain seats in the Assembly, which he believes will bring better balance to Trenton. “We can win the Assembly. And that would bring better balance to Trenton,” he told CBS News New York.
Meanwhile, Democrat Sherrill is rallying support with the star power of former President Barack Obama. She hosted a “Get Out the Vote” event in Newark, aiming to spotlight the Republican critique of the Affordable Care Act. “The sharp disparity between President Obama, who worked to expand health care coverage, and President Trump, who’s taking away health care from millions, is stark,” Sherrill declared.
