BREAKING NEWS: Sally J. Ifkovits, aged 62, of Northampton, has sadly passed away on November 20, 2025, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital. Surrounded by her loving family, this cherished community member leaves behind a legacy of dedication and love.
Sally’s commitment to her work spanned over 32 years at People First Federal Credit Union, where she rose from member services manager to card and ATM operations manager, making a significant impact on countless lives. Her family was her greatest joy, especially her grandson, Paxton, who brought light and happiness into her life.
Born on January 27, 1963, in Allentown, Sally was the daughter of the late Fred H. and Marion J. (Siegfried) Rex. She celebrated 37 years of marriage with her husband, Michael J. Ifkovits, a partnership marked by love and support.
Sally leaves behind her two sons, Riley and his wife, Kelly, and Alex and his wife, Anna, along with brothers Keith and Kevin Rex (Karen), sister Susie Weber (Harold), and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Jane, and niece, Adrienne.
Visitation services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Reichel Funeral Home located at 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. A prayer service will follow immediately at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Northampton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley in Sally’s memory.
