TruMark Financial Opens 2026 Difference Makers Scholarship Applications Now

URGENT UPDATE: TruMark Financial Credit Union has just announced the opening of applications for its highly anticipated 2026 Difference Makers Scholarship, targeting high school seniors dedicated to community service. This program, now in its third year, rewards students who have made significant contributions to local nonprofits, amplifying their impact on the community.

The scholarship aims to recognize and support the efforts of young leaders while also benefiting the nonprofit organizations they work with. A total of 10 scholarships will be awarded in 2026, with prizes including $7,500 for first place, $4,000 for second, and $3,000 for third. Additionally, each of the finalists will bring a $350 donation to their associated nonprofit.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 30, 2026. Interested students are urged to act quickly to secure their chance to contribute to their communities and gain financial support for their further education.

To qualify for the 2026 Difference Makers Scholarship, applicants must meet several criteria:
– Be a high school senior planning to pursue education at a college, university, trade school, or certificate program.
– Have completed a volunteer project through a nonprofit or independently.
– Have a sponsoring teacher who supports their application.
– Reside in one of the five counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia.
– Complete required financial education video modules via the TruMark website.

While membership with TruMark Financial is not necessary at the time of application, scholarship recipients must become members before receiving their awards. Applications will be evaluated based on the impact of their work, verified volunteer hours, project scalability, storytelling ability, and completion of financial education components.

Last year’s scholarship winners exemplified the power of innovation and volunteerism. First-place winner Jyotirmai Kadiyala from the Pennsbury School District created a therapeutic silicone hand model to aid those experiencing depressive episodes. Second-place winner Devlyn Faber of the Central Bucks School District organized awareness events supporting children with pediatric cancer. Third-place winner Cole Marozsan from Neshaminy High School channeled his volunteer efforts into a school-wide initiative benefiting families fighting cancer.
