With 51% of people in the UK reporting that high ticket prices have prevented them from attending gigs, the urgency for change is clear. Among those aged 16 to 34, two-thirds have cut back on concert attendance due to skyrocketing costs, prompting a wave of frustration among music lovers.
The “Give-a-Gig” campaign is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a rallying cry for music access. “We just have to keep talking about it so nobody thinks it’s normal,” said songwriter and producer Jack Antonoff in a recent interview with Hayley Williams.
