The encounter was captured on the family’s Ring camera, showing Gerardo’s wife, Idalia, desperately pleading for the agents to present a warrant. Witnesses report that at least seven to eight agents were present, with a number not wearing uniforms and failing to identify themselves.
In a harrowing turn of events, Idalia claims that one agent used a taser on Gerardo, while another, not in uniform, struck her 22-year-old daughter with a baton. These altercations, however, were not recorded on video. “I was terrified,” Idalia told NBC Bay Area, emphasizing the chaotic scene that unfolded outside their home.
