UPDATE: A tragic development in Jasper, Alabama: a 4-year-old boy missing since December 31, 2023, has been found dead. Authorities confirmed that Johnathan Everett Boley‘s body was discovered today, with his dog, Buck, still alive beside him, approximately two miles from his father’s home.
The Walker County Sheriff’s Office announced the heart-wrenching news during a press conference. Sheriff Nick Smith stated, “We have located Johnathan, and Johnathan is deceased.” The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and an investigation is ongoing.
Just hours before the discovery, a massive search effort, involving volunteers and the FBI, was underway in the area where Johnathan was last seen.
