“Urgent: ‘The Nutcracker’ Ballet Story Time Set for Nov. 25 in Townsend”

UPDATE: The holiday season is officially kicking off in Townsend with an enchanting “Nutcracker Ballet Story Time” scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2023, at the Townsend Public Library, located at 12 Dudley Road. This event promises to immerse families in the holiday spirit as dancers from the North Central Youth Ballet (NCYB) perform captivating routines from their upcoming production of “The Nutcracker.”

Parents and children alike can look forward to a magical evening where a narrator will bring the beloved story to life while talented young dancers showcase their skills in stunning, festive costumes. This unique experience offers a perfect opportunity for families to engage with the arts and create lasting holiday memories.

The North Central Youth Ballet, a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing young talent, combines dancers from various studios, fostering collaboration and artistry for community performances. Co-founders and directors Karen Brown and Megan Simisky emphasize the importance of such events in inspiring joy and excitement within the community.

Following the story time, the NCYB will stage their full performance of “The Nutcracker” at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 5, and noon and 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, at North Middlesex Regional High School, located at 19 Main St..
