In an episode of his podcast, “The D’Amore Drop,” D’Amore expressed skepticism about Knight’s prospects for reaching genuine world title contention within WWE, stating, “It seems like WWE is never going to elevate LA Knight to genuine world title contention, doesn’t it?”
Knight, who has gained popularity for his charisma and in-ring skills, recently addressed his own uncertainty regarding plans for WrestleMania 42. Appearing on “The Coach’s Corner” podcast, he admitted to being in the dark about his role in the upcoming event. “Don’t worry about the details because I don’t have any. I know about as much as you know, and people find that hard to believe, but in all honesty, that’s just wrestling,” he explained.

He shared that in his early days, he frequently met opponents just hours before a match. “When I came up in wrestling, most of the times I was going to a show, I’d never even met my opponent before, so I’m meeting him 2 or 3 hours before showtime before I’m learning anything,” said Knight.
Despite the uncertainty, Knight remains optimistic about the atmosphere surrounding WrestleMania. “All I know is it’s gonna be, as it always is, a gigantic week. It’s gonna be a gigantic success, with people coming from all corners of the world to Las Vegas for what is essentially our big bash,” he noted.
