Utility Line Burial Project Underway in Mill Valley

In related news, construction crews have commenced work to bury utility lines along the Redwood Highway Frontage Road in Strawberry, a project initiated by the county. According to a statement released on Wednesday, the collaboration involves teams from the county and Pacific Gas & Electric Co.

The construction will include the installation of underground conduits and other necessary features over the next four to five weeks. Work hours are scheduled from 21:00 to 05:00, Sundays through Thursdays, which will result in intermittent lane closures on both the frontage road and Highway 101. Following the completion of this phase, utility companies including PG&E, AT&T, and Comcast will proceed with the installation of new underground utility lines, leading to the removal of existing overhead lines and poles. The county anticipates that the project will be finalized by the end of the year.
